None the less i have 7 kids so if my furbabies can or cannot get it my kids can so i am gonna use everytyhing i can to keep that from happening I have a shark steamer that i clean my floors with is that good enuogh or should i bleach them? I know it won't hurt them because i have bleached them before i just want to know what is best


To the OP i hope you get to feeling better soon i know how horrible this crap is i can't help you with the fever thing because all i can take is tylenol and if it doesn't work i have to go in to the doc But my old ped. always told my mom to put me in a tub of cool water not cold. But then again when my sister's temp went to 105 the E.R docs put her in a tub of ice water Of course that was years ago to. Sorry that prob just made it more confusing didn't it

Hmm, I'm not sure which is best, the shark steamer or the bleach, I'm not familiar with the steamer, I'm sorry. How hot does it get? I used bleach water on my floors and lysol on all my furniture and then bleach and lysol on everything else I could wipe down. Maggy or I didn't end up with it so I must have done something right. I hope your kiddos (skin and fur) don't end up with it, it was some real nasty stuff that ran through here. Good luck to you and to the OP, I hope you feel better soon as well. Good luck!

Well it gets pretty hot when i first got it i wasn't thinking and right after i was done with the floors i went to take the cloth head off and the water on the cloth was so hot that i scalded my fingers And thank you i am sure i will start feeling better soon because i am now on antibiotics for the bronchitis but the flu part there is not much i can do I had to go to the e.r about 3am because it was so bad i couldn't breathe But feeling much better this morning the body aches are finally gone then again that could just be the lortab they gave me to

I'm not sure which one would be best to use, but if it's hot enough to scald you like that, I'm sure that would do just as well to, at least one would think so. I sure hope you get over all that sickness soon, sounds to me like you just need to try and take it as easy as possible.

me and my bf had the flu and martini didnt get it

take 2 asprins it brings a fever down and i know this may sound weird but it works...get rubbin alcohol and put on a pair of socks and put a towel underneath ur feet and pour some of it on ur socks and get a hanky or a towel and pour some on it and put it on ur forehead in an hr ur fever will be down to gone...its a family remedy

maybe it's different with an adult, but, this is what the Drs say now about alcohol. NEVER use alcohol or cold water to sponge a child if they have a fever. This can cause shivering and a rise in temperature. Alcohol is a poison and can be absorbed through the childs skin. Also alcohol fumes are irritating

how things change from when i was a kid...i dont kno my family has done it with all of us and we turned out fine..they always have to ruin what works lol

I know, years ago, they used to say to do that, but, then when my last niece was born(17 years ago), my sisters pediatrician told her the same thing that I posted..about the alcohol being absorbed through the body, and that wasn't good..I've never done the alcohol bath(my Mom never did either), we've just always taken tylenol to break the fever..
