| Mine go outside so I take Loki out and tell him to go (he will always pee!) and I stick one of those disposable ziplock containers under him and can usually get enough that way. Then I seal it and double bag it and off it goes to the vet. Could you maybe put a large container on his pee pad and maybe he will straddle it?

| I have heard people having success by turning the pee pad over (plastic side up) and letting them pee then dump it in a container. With Ellie I put a measuring cup under her (nice and short) as soon as she starts but it would be a bit different for a boy. Why doesn't the vet just take it (catheter or cystocentesis)? They should be more than capable if you can't get a sample. A urine sample that is sent for culture generally should be taken, not done free catch. Free catch should be okay for a urinalysis though.

| The vet can get it, but Ill have to pay for it. She wants a table spoon. Riley doesn't even pee that much out!!!! Lol... I have a little cup that will fit under him. I'm loading him up on ice and water. I don't think he will go since I'm falling him around with a cup. Lol. |

| Most vets want first morning urine so can you crate him overnight and then follow him to the pee pad in the morning??

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Put a piddle pad on the reverse side so the plastic is up. Then when they pee take a container and drain it into it.
