| Kendraleigh, let me know please after your appointment Saturday, what is doctor said, o.k.? And also I want to ask how often you giving to Sam his Robitussin, 2 times daily or 3? Because I used to give 3 times daily, like 8am, 3p.m. and 11 p.m but today I tried to skip 3 p.m. dose because she doesn't cough much during the day, and I noticed that she cough more then usual during the day. So I realize she needs her day dose. It's been 2,5 months already I really don't know what to do Also do you have a high speed internet? I made a small video clip(few seconds) how is she coughing, I just want you to see if Sam coughs same way o.k.? Let me know please |

| Steve, I do have high speed internet so definitely send me the video. I only give Sam the Robitussin at night around 10pm and it seems to only last until 3am b/c that's when he wakes up and coughs a bit, but then he is fine after that. He doesn't seem to be doing a lot of coughing today so I'm glad. JCarlson, would you be able to find me a specialist in the South Jersey area. I live in Marlton. Thanks so much for your help!

| Steve I forgot to ask you this, but when you got your puppy was she sick or did the cough come out of no where? Like did she have any runny nose or respiratory infection?

| Kendra, I sent you email with the little clip of how my baby coughs, you can see and tell me please if Sam coughs same way? and you asked me about my puppy when I just bought her, you know, you absolutely right, because when I just bought her and even in that puppy store I paid and was waiting to fill out some papers, and the lady from that store noticed that my puppy had a runny nose, and she said this is not a big dill, we will give you some medication and it will go away, so I'm already went home that day with a puppy and Clavamox(amoxicillin)-antibiotic. JCarlson2004 I think you right about that store is a PUPPY MILL, I'm sorry I didn't know that before and I had nobody to give me an advise, I jist want puppy, from the first look at my puppy, I was in love with her and don't want to give her back because she was my baby (like the human been babies, we don't give them away when they sick) But first day I had her at home she was already taking antibiotic, then at night time I noticed she was coughing, I went to vet (this vet was a first free visit for those customers who bought puppies from that puppy store) and vet said to me that it's nothing wrong, all puppies coughing like this. After that my puppy was coughing more and more despite she was taking antibiotic, so one day she was not eating, not drinking anything and I took her to another vet, because I don't trust that vet who was working probably for that puppy store. New vet game me different antibiotic and Hydrocodone syrup, but it did not help much and my baby was almost dying of that terrible cough + not eating and drinking, lethargic.,and did not want to move at all. I thought I'm going to loose her,(I can not explain how I feel at that moment, but I don't want nobody to feel like that and go through this) I took her to emergency room and they gave her IV fluids, antibiotic Penicillin, nebulizer, they kept her to that hospital for two days, after that she was o.k. but not too long, just few days because after few days I hear she was coughing again but not like before, less. And now she still coughing, and I'm afraid it can happen again that she will fill worse and worse because sometimes her cough is really terrible. To make the story short my poor baby continues taking a lot of medication and nebulizer( I bought nebulizer machine and keep it at home) and I'm just praying every day for her to get better |

| Steve your story sounds kind of like how Sam's was. He had the runny nose and got really lethargic one day and wouldn't eat or drink so I brought him to the emergency room and they said he had the upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia and kennel cough on top of everything. Sounds like your vet didn't take you too seriously. I would get a 2nd opinion b/c Lola sounds like her chest is really congested. I really don't think what she has is collapsed trachea since she started out so young with a runny nose and cough. She is probably on her road to recovery and I would just keep doing what you're doing, but I would also see another vet and tell them my story. Hope this helps.

| I hope that when you read this they have recovered from their coughing or at least have less cough. I know what you are going through because I went through it with Pebbles. SHe had it for almost three months, the same way it came it left. She was never given medication, my vet said there was really nothing for it, I did put the vaporizer at night and that did help her. I bought from a private breeder but she must have gotten it from her siblings.

| Thanks everybody for understanding and support! I don't know what I would do without this site! Kendra, I'm glad Sam fills much better, I hope his cough will go away and never come back! But my baby she is not doing well, coughing more and more progressive now, even during the day, and night, evening, all day long, sometimes hours-non stop! I'm afraid it's Pneumonia again. She is on antibiotics and other medication for cough and nebulizer, but no relief :-( I made an appointment today 8 p.m. to vet in Brooklyn (new vet)it's going to be 5th or 6th opinion already. I think she needs Penicillin shots. I'm going to be broke soon, but money at this time don't matter, I want my baby to fill better, God please help us, if you hear me, don't let my baby suffer that much!!! |

| I'm so sorry to hear that Steve. I didn't know she had pneumonia to begin with! Know that she is in my prayers and I hope this new vet will cure her. She is lucky to have you take care of her. Good luck.
