| Preparing beef liver? As a treat, I am thinking about preparing some beef liver we have for Gizmo. I know he shouldn't have a lot since it's rich, right? But how much is okay? What's the best way to prepare it? I know no onions or garlic, what else?

| Yes, if you give him too much he can get the runs. A little bit of garlic is okay, but not much. I think I would cut it into small strips and cook it slowly in the oven on a low heat to kind of dry it, if you have a food dehydrator that would be even better. When I gave my dogs liver I gave it to them raw. But I was feeding all raw food at the time. I cut it into chunks and gave it to them or blended it up with their veggies and yogurt.

| Thank you! I will try baking it next time. We found a recipe online that said to sautee it with corn oil, so that's what we did. We're going to cut it up in small pieces, divide it into small portions and freeze the rest in little packets. That way we can give it to him later by just popping it in the microwave first. Thanks again.
