| we have been having ear infections, and skin irritations big time with our girls. we just started WELLNESS on tues. I would check out wellnessdogfood.com. OMG just a WEALTH of info on that site. definitely check it out. my girls already have stopped itching and we are only on day 5. they were on claritin 2 times a day the itching was so bad. they both chewed their paws. they were on Hills Pres diet D/D. This food is horrible. go to dogfoodanalysis.com and check the ingredients. My dog ate this food WHOLE. that is becasue it is so HARD there is no way for them to chew it. I can't wait until they are completely off of this food. Same here- the vet put them on this food (Potato and Venison) it is not good food. It contains "sawdust" and the dogs love it b/c it is coated with something to make them eat it. Just feel the bottom of the bowl after about 2 days. It is nothing but slime. Ewhh it is disgusting. Try biting a piece of it and see how hard it is. Definitely check out the wellness line or Natural balance or canidae. YTer's have an abundance of info if you search the forums. |

| I feed Innova to give as treats and give med's. They love the INNOVA ( we use senior formula as they are 9 and 10 yrs old) wellness bites they LOVE them too. So many good healty ingredients in these foods. The innova contains: turkey, turkey broth, chicken, brown rice, potatoes, carrots, herring, apples, alfalfa sprouts, cottage cheese...those are some of the ingredients listed on the can. The Wellness Wellbites are made with Chicken and Venison, oatmeal, blueberries, sweet potatoes, apples, and carrots. pit it this way- after giving these treats... i was almost about to miss 2 or 3 fingers. The specialist vet we saw last week said to feed a High quality protein diet and Low fat. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I'm assuming the vet gave you IVD potato and venison right? This food is alittle better then hills prescription diet but still you could buy food from the pet store that is better. There are many brands found in pet stores that carry allergy formulas. where were you buying sophie's food before and what was she eating?
