| Bad news The vet just called. She wants me to come in.... to get the results. I have never had a vet do this... it is freaking me out. I have to get ready and go down there, but has anyone ever had a vet call them in for results.... Plus... concerning previous thread... I didn't say I would put her down.. just wondered if they ever get bad enough that you have to. She has no symptoms now, so I can't imagine that happening... but don't want to give my mom a dog... even though she knows that there may be a problem ... if she has to have it put down... she isn't good w/ that... you know? I'm scared! But her brother and sister that live 2 houses down (my best friend's mom... I told her to do the test just in case) were tested a couple of days before her and they came back w/ completely neg. on liver shunts. |

| Oh Nikole, I'm sorry you have to go thru this. Hopefully it's not too bad...maybe your vet just likes to discuss things in person. Wishing the best for you a little GiGi...she is the cutest!

| I know it's upsetting but perhaps he just wants to discuss face to face with you the results and give you different ways of going forward. Finger's crossed that it's not as bad as it sounds. Good luck and hugs to GiGI |

| When Ellie had her bile acid test, the vet gave me the results over the phone but they weren't that bad. She did want us to come in for a blood panel, supplements and also wanted to talk in person. She spend about 40 minutes with us. I think it's because vets don't see liver problems everyday.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I hope that things go well for you and your little one...please know that whatever news you get, there are things that can be done for liver shunts and other liver problems that will enable the puppy to live a rather normal life. Please let us know what you find out!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hopefully it is not real serious nad he just wants to go over possible treatment plans. Cali has mild MVD and they have always given me the results over the phone. Good luck

| well... It was sorta bad news... although not horrible news. She said that since she isn't having any symptoms I could wait and retest in 6wks. |

| I'm sorry if I missed previous threads...What happened to her to make you do the bile acid test or did you just do it as a precaution?
