Thanks Dina! She looks SO much better this morning. I am about to feed her and am holding thumbs she keeps it down. Yesterday I was quite besides myself - I have never seen Mango sick, and the amount of vomiting she did really scared me....poor baby.

FIRST, YAY for good news! I'm so glad the little punkin' is feeling better! :D

2nd, I would highly doubt her levels (in and of themselves) would cause any damage (I'm saying that, though, w/out knowing much else clinically about her) - they were elevated, but not off-the-charts - which is good. If it was a genuine case of pancreatitis - it'd def. be something you'll have to work with going forward, but it would be doable. Do you know Yorkieluv at all? She knows a ton of info on that subject, IF you need it (and I'm crossing my paws that you don't!).

Lastly, I CANNOT believe you said that about becoming a "nutritionist" bc I am actually looking into that very thing as we speak! How weird. I have a bach. degree in nursing, but this canine nutrition stuff has hooked me big time - so we'll see. How funny though! :D

Hi Lauren! I'm just checking in this morning to see how Mango is doing. To answer your question, no, Sukoshi's levels were all in the normal range when she went through this similar thing in August. It sounds like Mango is returning to normal though, so hopefully it was just an isolated incident and nothing long-term. Please keep us updated as the vet does more tests on Monday. And try to spend some time enjoying the holiday with your family. I know you were so anxious for your mom's visit, and your time with her is so precious that I hope you don't spend the whole time worrying (although like you said...I know how we are with our babies, and I'd be freaking out too if I were you!!!!). Like you said...at least once you know exactly what you're dealing with, then you can focus on fixing it...assuming it wasn't just a little stomach bug. And don't be too hard on Jack :rolleyes: . I'm sure Mango looked at him with that adorable face, and he just couldn't say no...so 8 Cheerios later... I doubt that caused any of this. Keep us updated! And call if you need anything!

I am so happy - today Mango has been zooming around like nothing happened to her. Such a difference from last night, when she was so listless, no energy, just wanted to snuggle with me.

See girl! I told ya I could spot a budding nutritionist all the way from California! You would be wonderful in that department. So now, knowing you are RN, all your medical knowledge and familiarity with those terms makes total sense.:D

Poor Jack... with his 8 cheerio blooper, poor guy got ^%%# on from a dizzy height..... he's walking around with HIS tail between his legs.:(

Lauren, I read through this real quick to get to the end...relieved to hear that your baby, Mango...is back into the zoomies. So sorry to hear she was ill and more sorry that I wasn't here to help you through it. Did you do a search on here for pancreatitis? I can't think of the person...but there is someone on here that has extensive knowledge with this, stating which test to run and which not to bother with...maybe I'll go do that and see if I can figure out who it was.

Mango is back to her demented little self - such a huge difference from last night this time. That dog biscuit did worry me because with all the recalls, you never know what the ingredients are, that's why my girls only get the Cheerios. Poor Jack, his guilt trip last night was soooo bad. We had very little sleep, because I kept hopping up to check on Mango.
With the tests she will have, I am just praying that those levels all return to normal; the results yesterday freaked me out a little (to put it mildly). I am going to do a search; Anne told me that Yorkieluv is very knowledgeable on the subject.
You should have seen Mango with Ronda (Teddi's Mama) today. She could not stop jumping on her and showering her with little kisses... was toooo cute - the little head bobbing up and down with each kiss.... she got a million of them...LOL:D Granny Spanky is back to being tormented by her naughty (nuisance) shadow as well.

i am just now reading this-(thanks AGAIN to Lisa!!;) :p) Geez!!..i am have been soo soo busy these past couple days, NON STOP!! with all the holidays work has been sooooooo busy!! so i apoligize!!:( I AM SOOOOO GLAD MANGO feels BETTER!!..and that she is back to her outgoing lil self-hehe.:p I wish i would have seen this earlier..when you didnt know what was wrong and were worried!!..this happens to Avery sometimes..if she hasnt eaten her food or if something causes her stomach to get upset!! (that is why i responded to the thread about the caindae-cuz if avery doesnt eat sometimes..this will happen!!)she will throw up bile(a yellow-almost spit up..no solid anything really) if she wasnt ok by the morning and she ate..i would say take her in but usually its just something they picked up(like poop..or not being used to the treats they gave her..that or an upset tummy from not eating recently) when this happens and i know she hasnt eaten since the night before i will give her a Cheerio and put just a dab of the nutri-cal on the cheerio..she eats it and then in about 15min.she will eat some of her food and is fine!! im so sorry you got worried but glad everything is ok!! ;) Happy Thanksgiving love!!

Yep, thank goodness for Lisa! If not for her, I would never have found out about Teddi, and that would really have upset me. With my Mom visiting, I have not been on YT as much the past few days.

Mango scared the living daylights out of me yesterday. You've seen her at her zoomy, demented best, so to watch her hang her head down, not moving, dry heaving when there was nothing left to come up.... can you even picture it??
Today she is like a different doggie...... back to her naughty little self. I am so hoping those blood levels were a one time thing. You're so right about them eating all sorts of things. I probably don't know half of what my little Yorkie "Goat" gobbles up/nibbles on...... just check the Yorkie poop thread to get some idea of what these little things decide to chow down. She's always bouncing around with something or other hanging out of that mouth. (When I try and grab her, she dashes under the coffee table where Mama cannot reach her, so she can finish "killing off" whatever she has snuck in there.)

Your idea of the Cheerio with Nutrical is a keeper!! My finger doesn't work that well and Granny Spanky never quite licks it all off before it plops on the floor. She gets some first thing every morning.

I had Ronda here today, teeny-weeny Teddi's Mama. She was waiting to pick her up later in the day, after her tests. Right now I am fretting about them driving home in that dreadful traffic, because Teddi has been SO traumatized in the past two days.:(:(

Thanks for asking. Actually, Mango has become VERY constipated - she made only one very small poop yesterday and nothing since then. I am not sure if it is the food the Vet gave her - Canine a/d. Can you suggest something that would help her tummy work?

Sorry I only saw your post now. I went to bed early last night to cuddle with Coffee as he is very miserable (see my post),

I believe pumpkin is good for constipation, or maybe add a tiny bit of olive oil to her food. There is also a natural remedy called Pet Alive Natural Moves, or add any kind of fibre. Hope this helps. Put her butt in a basin of warm water, this might bring immediate relief.

Thanks Hon! But unfortunately, the symptoms seem to have returned a bit. She was vomiting again yesterday, so she is back on the Meds for that. The good thing is that her energy level is great, which makes me hopeful that this is just a bug that is taking its time in going away. It just HAS to be because I don't know what I would do if there was something seriously wrong with my precious Angel:(.

Have you posted pics of Melody yet? I've been waiting for days to see some>:eek: I still cannot believe that little Angel is back where she belongs, with her TRUE Mama.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Oh no.... Mango... What's going on? Do you think she ate something that doesn't agree with her? I know Jolie has a super sensitive tummy. If she get's just a tad of food that is too rich in fat or protien, she's vomiting and having soft stools for a few days. - Dan finally learned not to share his food with her.

Sorry to hear she is vomiting again. Hoping it is just a tummy bug, and nothing more serious! You will have to put a muzzle on her when she goes in the garden.:D

I really wish I knew what was going on with Mango because her symptoms are so weird. She has been vomiting but there is no diarrhea; if anything she is constipated. The vomit is yellow and has a lot of mucus in it. The good thing though, is that she is still full of energy and has not lost her appetite.
Jack is in Australia, so I can't even blame him for sneaking treats to her. He returns tomorrow, and I know I will have to keep a watchful eye on him. He is so totally nuts about his girls, he kinda loses all control when they just look at him. He felt terrible last week - thought he had given his baby a "Cheerios Overdose"....LOL:D.
