Glad you got there safely. Prayers for the morning. |
Prayers coming your way... Glad you and Teddi made it to Knoxville safely. Keep us updated on what is going on. Kiss Teddi for us. You are in our thoughts and prayers. |
Ronda, I am so happy that Teddi took the flight so well. I will be thinking of you today when you have your consultation with her Doctor. I just wish I could put you both in a time machine that would fast forward you to next week this time, when you would be home and Teddi on the mend. Huge hugs, Lauren:) |
I'm so glad to hear Teddi did good on the plane. My biggest fear with flying Sukoshi home for Christmas is that she'll cry the whole time! Did the flight attendants let you take her out of her carrier at all? Or did you even try? You should've already had your 9 AM consulation with the surgeon by now, so I'm anxious to hear what he/she had to say. Keeping you and Teddi in my thoughts! |
I actually didn't take her out of the bag or even try. On the first flight they would have never let me....good thing I didn't even try because when I was getting off the plane I wanted until everyone else was off and then got my stuff and got Teddi and unzipped her and carried her and the flight attended saw and said "you can't take her out...but I guess you already did". This was when there was no one else even on the plane. This was on US Airways. I hear that United lets you take the dogs out. So we had our consultation this morning at the hospital. Sue, the person who everyone said to contact there and who helped me set everything up, greeted us and gave Teddi a little knitted ball for a gift. The doctor went over all her test results and checked all her vitals and said everything looked good. He then took some blood to make sure all her levels are fine. He then said I just have to feed her at 6pm and take up her water at midnight and bring her in at 7:30 am tomorrow for surgery. I forgot to ask how long the surgery will take but he said it would be in the morning. I'll ask when I take her tomorrow. I'm really glad my friend and her son are coming tomorrow becuase I want to go to see the Smokey Mountains on Saturday. Knowville is very small. There is nothing to do here. The big shopping area has about 5 little shops and about 5 restaurants and that's it. Today we went to the main street down town and the only things on that street was the visitor's center/coffee house (They had a free concert at noon but we only stayed for 2 songs - can only take so much fiddle music), Teddi was a big hit there. There was also a store caled Mast Market, a little art gallery and a movie theatre. That's it. I'm going to go to the university store right now to see if they have a little charm I can get for Teddi's collar. I figured she needs something to remember the place that saved her life and also everything I see just has a big T on it so I thought it could also stand for Teddi!! Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers! I'll update tomorrow after surgery. xoxo, Ronda and Teddi |
I am so happy that everything is working out. The doctors sound wonderful. Good luck finding that charm. She deserves it. Make sure that you pick up something for yourself to read or whatever. The surgery, the flight or whatever it will come in handy. |
Thanks so much for the updates! We are praying for the best. Hang in there.. |
Continuing to pray for Teddi and the surgical staff there. May the Lord provide an easy and safe surgery. |
Sending prayers for tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and Teddi. Please give her a little kiss from me before she goes into surgery. Hugs and warm thoughts to you. |
I am sure everything will go fine and Jambo and I can't wait to see you and Teddi when you guys get back. |
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Teddi. It will be wonderful when this is over and you are home safe and sound. Sorry about the USAirways attendant, USAir could fly a pig in 1st class but you couldn't carry your Teddi off the plane....go figure:rolleyes: |
We went to the University of Tennessee book store and Teddi got a cute UT Sweater, a UT Barette and a little T charm. She is going to represent tomorrow at the hospital! I'll have to take some pics of her in her outfit out in front of the hospital. I just talked to the surgical tech and she told me that Teddi will be the first surgery tomorrow morning at 9am. She said we need to be there between 7 and 7:30. She said the surgery will take about 45 mins. She told me they should be calling me about 11 am after she awakes. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the prayers!!! |
Good luck, I'll say a prayer for you. |
Chase, his sister Halle and I are sending our love and prayers to you and Teddi. Chase says to give Teddi a big kiss for his new Buddy and we know everything will be fine. SO glad you will have support with you. You're in our thoughts daily.:) |
Ronda, I'm so pleased to see that Teddi's pre-op consultation went smoothly. The staff there sound so amazing. It's such a good thing that your friend will be there to keep you company tomorrow. AND! What great news that the surgery is only 45 minutes!!!:thumbup::thumbup: I thought it would take hours! That means your baby will be under anesthesia for less than an hour.:D I will be praying for my little friend tomorrow morning.Mama Lily sends her love to both of you. Mango and Granny Spanky send healing Yorkie kisses. I can't wait for tomorrow this time, Lauren:hands::hands::hands::hands::hands: |
