I am keeping both you and Teddi in my thoughts and prayers...

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I'm starting to pack. We leave on Tuesday. I have to get some blue ice thing to put Tedd's meds in since 2 of them have to be refrigerated. I've already packed all her clothes and a friend of mine at work is making her some warm outfits this weekend. We will have to try them on Monday.

I am so glad to see you posting here before you go. You and Teddi have been in my thoughts a lot the past few days, knowing that the time was getting close for her surgery. I thought of something that might make her comfortable during her flight home. It's called the "Snuggle Safe pet warming disc". I saw it mentioned in a thread this week and actually bought one for Spanky at PetsMart, to keep her old bones comfy during the cold nights. If Teddi's crate is placed on the floor of the airplane, it can get really cold there, and if this disc was placed under her pad/blankets, it would keep her nice and warm. Check out the thread here:

Teddi,
This is Emmy in Georgia. I just wanted to write you and let you know that I am thinking about you. You have been on my mind ever since mommy told me that you had to have the surgery. I asked mommy to put your picture next to my doggy bed so I can look at your picture when I am thinking about you. I'll keep it there until you are safely back home in California.
I have never been on a plane but mommy says a lot of dogs fly. You should be ok. Take care and stay warm. Once you get to the hospital just try to be brave. You will be asleep and not know anything they do to you. When you wake up you'll be sore but in time you should be back like new. I am sure your mommy will be right there with you when you go to sleep and when you wake up. My sister, Alyssa, and I will be saying special "doggy prayers" for you, Teddi. We are praying very hard that God will take care of you and make the surgery be very successful. My mom sends her love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. You and your mom are in our thoughts and prayers. Love,

Have a safe flight, and please know that you and Teddi will be in our prayers. I pray that her surgery goes well, and that she comes out of it with little pain and has an easy recovery. hi everyone!

teddi did a great job on her flight. she would chirp a little before the plane took of but once we were in the air she was completely quiet and fell asleep. She just curled up in her beautiful soft pink blanket that Belinda made for her! Once we got here we went for a long walk and it was raining off and on so she got wet and tired...she is now curled up here on the bed with me. We are about to take a nap. We have our first meeting with the surgeons tomorrow morning at 9am. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!!! I'll update you tomorrow after we meet with them.
