| If he's not underweight I would just leave it how you have it now. With Slade he eats til he's full and no more, so he would be okay free feeding. WIth Laney she always acts starved but in not underweight. If I free fed her she woudl eat it all in one sitting and beg for more. She is a bottomless pit and woudl probably weigh 100 lbs if I let her free fed. In fact one day I let the top off the dog food accidently and she ate 3/4 of the 5 lb bag of dog food before she couldnt' eat anymore. |

| With so many dogs at different ages, I just about have to free feed. Of course I feed the pups seperately but they still go to the big dog bowl and munch throughout the day. None of my dogs are overweight or gorge and go potty 2 times a day. My chi's have high metabolisms and eat all the time but seem skinny to me, vet says they're fine, I'm just comparing them to my sturdy yorkies. Lida has a few pounds to shed from the pups, but she's losing them nicely now that she isn't getting all the puppy food! |
