| Zoey was on Canidae. She pood 3-4 X a day. When I started home cooking she went down to 2 X a day. Occasionally 3. She still has Canidae to graze on, but rarely uses it.

| It's possible that he may be deaf or whatever but maybe, just maybe the breeder simply kept him shut away and he was not socialised at all??? It may take a lot of patience to encourage him to come out of his shell?? He needs LOTS of attention and love....have you thought about rehoming him where he will be the only dog? He may then change and be more outgoing? |

| Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | I agree! He just needs love and patience, as do all puppies. Even when they are "mischievous" they're still so cute and funny! |

This is going to take lots of patience and time on your part because they claim the solution is that you have to hold his kibble and hand feed him slowly allowing him to chew, swallow and slow down.... it's a learned behavior...this will take time, not just days....Good luck....

| i know as painful as it might be to actually punish your puppy, in this case of such an act its very necessary. although you may want to extenguish all your options first. 1. if you have the time. monitor you dog constantly and keep the poop away. if you are away half the day and you pup is pooping in its cage and then eating it while you're gone then this method will not work but its what i used along with very loud scoldings. he got the idea. 2. listen carefully cuz this one is hard...take two fingers and put them together...now lightly smack the nose when you catch your yorkie doing it. along with very loud NO. 3. if none of those options are at your disposal then simply put a doggy diaper on your yorkie while you are away. come home, take it off and monitor. diapers are cheap, fingers are free and God gave you a voice. at no time do i condone beating your yorkie but a pat on the nose never hurt anyone. ps. steps 1 and 2 may result in a sad yorkie for times not exceeding 2 hours. |

I would never "smack a dog's nose", lightly or otherwise. I would never put a diaper on my dog w/ the intent of forcing him to sit in his own feces. Lastly, I think "steps 2 and 3" will result in a very distrustful, nervous, head-shy, shamed yorkie - not just a "sad one".

| Hello to all, I want to let anyone who is reading this not to be offended and please do not take it the wrong way! As I have been a member since only SEPT of 2007, all I have seen from this member is the "bad" things her pup does. Not once have I heard her say, " Aww he gave me a kiss" or " I taught him how to SIT and it was wonderful" All I see is, " My dogs are GAY" " My dog eats his Poop" " My dog pees and poops in his crate" ETC ETC. And what mind boggles me is that ppl here on YT continue to answer her posts. I am not saying it is bad to answer but have you all ever sat down to think that she is "DOG BASHING" her pup every single day. I understand that all of you care and are concerned but still. BUT EVERYDAY IT IS A NEW SITUATION WITH HER YORKIE! SHE NEVER HAS ANYTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT HIM!! My advice to you Scooby, please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REHOME YOUR DOG AND LET SOMEONE LOVE HIM LIKE HE TRULY DESERVES. If I get suspended for this, then so be it but I am sick and tired of her talking like she does about this poor dog. There are more people here with posts that are from people WHO ACTUALLY LOVES THEIR DOGS AND HAVE PATIENECE TO ACCEPT THE GOOD AND THE BAD ABOUT RAISING A PUP AND WHO NEED HELP! Thank you all for hearing me out. Rebecca

| Okay, do you yell at your dog when he poops in the house? If you do he will get scared and eat it so you don't see it. Always clean it up right away. Change foods because he might be lacking something in his diet. Try giving pineapple, meat tenderizer or a med from the vet. If he is pooping more than 3 or 4 (at the VERY most) times a day or peeing more than every 2 hours I would take him to the vet. That is about all I know on the subject.
