Well, I had to take a few breaths before replying. I will try to gently disagree here, lest my post get lost in confrontational nonsense land.

I would never "smack a dog's nose", lightly or otherwise. I would never put a diaper on my dog w/ the intent of forcing him to sit in his own feces.

Lastly, I think "steps 2 and 3" will result in a very distrustful, nervous, head-shy, shamed yorkie - not just a "sad one".
