ok...... no one get offended, but my mom is having a problem with her golden retriever because she FARTS!!!!!! it is sooooooo bad the worst smell, AND if you listen you can actually HEAR HER farting!!!!!!!! (dogs dont even have cheeks to make noise do they ) anyways, she burps constantly too...... we are thinking she probably has some sort of problem INTERNALLY (nothing that bothers her obviously, she is going on 6 and she hasnt had a problem yet)........ another thing is, my mom was told she was a golden retriever, but i HIGHLY DOUBT that she is pure bred (which is what the breeders claimed) she is soooooooooo STUPID its not even funny, she has this goofy look on her face all the time........ the only way i can describe it is this: ok, you know how people can be mentally hadicapped? well..... this DOG IS MENTALLY HANDICAPPED!!!! People may find this mean but i said "take her and get your money back" the first time i saw her

Archie burps after he eats. It's not that weird. That's how I know he's had enough and enjoyed his food!

Higgins used to burp when he was a baby, but I haven't heard him burp lately. I used to have an English Setter named Tiffany, who would stretch her front legs out in front of her and put her rump in the air and FART LOUDLY! Didn't usually smell, but you could hear it in the next room.....sooooo funny. We called her "Tuneful Tiffany." All Goldens have that wonderful gentle-giant-sort-of-goofy look that covers a very smart and gentle personality. We had one named Harry for about a year. Raised him from a baby. He, like all Goldens, particularly liked children. The grandchildren "borrowed" him for a week one summer. And he never did come home. Lived to a ripe old age and retired in Kentucky, having taken good care of those kids for me...........Harry LOVED to play tugsock and had plenty of strength to tug me right off the couch in one yank. We got a little Sheltie puppy and the very first morning big ol' Harry brought tiny Lucy his tugsock and dangled it in front of her. She grabbed on and that gentle giant played the sweetest game of tug with her.....it was sooooo cute. They were best buds and played tugsock often after that. Aren't all dogs wonderful?

Yeah, Yoda hasn't burped as much lately either. I think we're feeding him the right amount finally. :P Does your Yorkie's fart make any noise? Yoda's the silent but deadly-type of farter... I don't recall ever hearing him fart.

Hercules seems to gurgle when he's eating and/or drinking. Oh, and about the farting, Hercules must be the silent type too. When he first started to fart, I was like, where is that smell coming from?? And I would look all over the place for some poop or something, but couldn't find anything. Then I realized he must be farting!!

Add Trinket to the list... Maybe it has to do with how small they are - I don't know - but Trinket burps every time she eats and drinks. It's way too funny...she even does the neck stretch like she's some frat guy beltching. Nicole

My Bo burps too!! We have a 7 year old Schnauzer and he has always just gobbled up his food in like 3 minutes and burped when he was done and we always thought it was pretty funny. Then when we brought Bo home the very first day he gobbled up his food and burped! I couldn't believe it. I had never heard of dogs burping and now I have two!
