| Yes there are....but I do think they are the good kind. I am not too familar with it but have heard it is a healing agent for many illnesses and things. Really I am just looking into it too. We can learn together!

| Personally I prefer salmon oil or fish body oil because flax seed oil is derived from a vegetable source and unfortunatly can make them itchy as many dogs cannot convert the ALA into DHA/EPA.

| I use it with ours....one tsp in their food daily, 2 for the big dog. (It's also good for your eyes too if you have extreme dry eye. ) I order it from Barlean's site online. Recent studies have also shown indications that is beneficial in preventing various types of cancer. |

| turns out my dh has some really great flax seed. he says he puts it in a chopper and that is the best way to give it. so we took a tablespoon and gave it to each dog. they loved it. I think I will start giving it on a regular basis. it seems that it has great nutritional value to it, so i will give it a shot. I'll let you know how it goes
