turns out my dh has some really great flax seed. he says he puts it in a chopper and that is the best way to give it. so we took a tablespoon and gave it to each dog. they loved it. I think I will start giving it on a regular basis. it seems that it has great nutritional value to it, so i will give it a shot. I'll let you know how it goes
