![]() I had initially bought some meat from Harmony Farms but the mixture seemed to difficult to masticate for Jambo (maybe because he still has his baby teeth?). Of course the little sucker hardly chews his food..more like gulps it down. Odd when they chew on everything else why they don't practice this with their food which is when it is most needed. I thought the pre-made frozen kind may work better since they are very grounded up. I ended up purchasing Stella & Chewy's chicken medallions at the suggestion of the store over NV. I tried to switch him to lamb. He did not want to touch it. Then I tried beef. Nope, he didn't want it. I really think variety of protein is important so I will try Venison next for him. What do you all think about Primal vs. K9 vs. NV vs. Stella & Chewys?

![]() Yep, everybody's different! We've gone through Ringworm hiding in the coat (found it when I got a ringworm on my arm), 5 baby teeth had to be removed, cottony coat, ear mites, skin rash hiding near the paws followed by bad rash in/on the ears, runny eyes, learning commands in English... Slowly but surely we've just about got everything under control. I keep her away from beef most of the time, but just like with people, it's trial and error. If only people were so forgiving and loveable...

![]() WHEW!!! I just finished reading every post on this thread. I really have to use the bathroom but didn't want to get up. ![]() Mine have been eating NV raw for about half their meals, kibble with no grain for the other half. I have been thinking about going all raw for quite a while now. Mine all (I have 5) love the NV raw, but they do snarf it down way too fast - especially two of the dogs. None of them are picky eaters, so I'm hoping that will continue. I have been scared to give the raw bones, but I think I am ready to start. ![]() Ok, I HAVE to go now and use the loo. ![]() This is a great thread! ![]()

![]() Ok, I know I resurrected this thread but is it dead???? ![]() ![]() ![]() I actually fed my dogs raw chicken wings yesterday and they are still alive today!!!! ![]() ![]() I have visited some of the websites and subscribed to the Yahoo group, but it seems so confusing to get into discussions or whatever. I, personally, am glad this thread is here to give me the courage to do what I've been wanting to do for a while now. ![]() Happy New Year everyone!!! ![]() P.S. I really don't want to be a THREAD KILLER!!! ![]()

![]() So, why do some "experts" say dogs need veggies, grains, vitamins, etc... and some say the opposite? How do you know which is right? I mean I know canine teeth are designed for tearing and chewing but wild animals eat the contents of stomachs which have greens, etc... in them. How do you know what to do when there are so many conflicting theories out there? ![]()

![]() Since we had been using NV raw for a long time, I didn't think I had to be quite so careful doing just one meat before adding another. They have had chicken and turkey and beef and some organ meats. (very small amount of the organs)They are all loving it. ![]() She is 4 lbs. - do dogs that small eat bones? Which bones could I give her small enough for her to chew on? I thought the ones I have been giving her were small enough but maybe not? My local butcher is looking into getting me necks, backs, organ meat and chicken feet. ![]() ![]() This is pretty fun! Meal time does take a lot longer now and I have to watch them cause the piggies will steal from the slower eating ones. ![]()

![]() So far things have been ok around here - no allergies at all and we have been feeding NV raw for about 1-1/2 years. Hopefully, things will stay the same in that department. ![]()
