| ![]() To be honest, venison bones will be no good. They are just way too dense for them to eat and could damage their teeth. Venison meat is great though! I feed different meats all the time, its important not to over do it with the variety at first though. Just try them on one meat, if they do great then introduce a new one each week until you have a few that you can use as and when. |

| ![]() Okay no venison bones, but maybe we will have just one deer for the dogs! I thought okay I have chicken legs and quarters I thawed for supper maybe I will try it with two females that I did not tuck in their kennel for an afternoon nap. I was too chicken to give them the bones(but I will) but cut all the meat off well I deboned it so it was in big chunks and gave it to two of them. MY dogs are evidentally starving they kinda scarffed but not too bad one chewed better than the other ,but now they are frantic running around looking for more sniffing all over. Also how many times do you give the capsules of fish oil or salmon ,once a week daily etc. I thought those recipes were funny just chunks of raw meat but different varieties.I was waiting for ingrediants and the only one was raw meat. |

![]() I generally give the salmon oil and vitamin e every other day because the capsules I buy are more like a 2 day dose. If you had smaller capsules or were using it loose (like from a bottle) then you could give a small dose every day. Hehe, thats because thats all they really need (raw meat, bones and organs) ![]()

So, for those who feed their furbabies freeze dried NV, how does it work? Just feed them like it is kibble? I just don't want to be too complicated for the pet hotel people or worry they might not know how to feed RAW!

Is this a sign of allergy? I thought she just being a dog! ![]() How much is too often? I might need to go see a vet! I didn't think it would be allergy? I was going to take her to a vet in Dec when the yearly check up is due. Do you guys think I need to bring her in earlier now?

| ![]() TJ licks his paws until they are soaking wet. He also bites his nails into daggers. TJ was on Raw for about 6 months. He continued to lick and bite his paws. I do not think TJ has allergies though... TJ has OCD problems and that's why he licks and bites. Not all 'paw lickers' are allergy related ![]() |

| ![]() Thank you so much Lara would that be in a 250mg capsule the E and oil every other day? If they can chew these bones with no problems this is a piece of cake, and easier than dog food having to refill for I feed free choice.WIll be easier to keep my neuterd male from being heavy also. What about pups I have a 6 month old female anything extra she needs being she is a growing puppy. And one of those that I read said bones are only needed 2 times a week is that correct? SO then 5 days out of seven would just be chunks of meat. Then fresh veggies and fruit for treats and snacks? |

The only thing different your puppy needs is a higher quantity of food for her body weight. Raw meaty bones need to be fed every day or every other day for them to get enough calcium, but remember that the bones you feed should be ones that are completely consumable, such as poultry, lamb or rabbit bones, not just chewed. You can feed fruit and veg for treats if you like, they are not necessary though.

| ![]() I guess by that I mean for example, tonight I fed them breast of lamb however the whole breast was huge and the rib bones did not extend across the entire thing so not all of my dogs got a rib bone with their meat. Doesn't matter, they will definitely get bone tomorrow. |
