If they can chew these bones with no problems this is a piece of cake, and easier than dog food having to refill for I feed free choice.WIll be easier to keep my neuterd male from being heavy also.
What about pups I have a 6 month old female anything extra she needs being she is a growing puppy.
And one of those that I read said bones are only needed 2 times a week is that correct? SO then 5 days out of seven would just be chunks of meat.
Then fresh veggies and fruit for treats and snacks? |
250mg (not to be confused with iu) would be more of an everyday dose IMO, mine are a little more than that. However its not set in stone, you can't really overdose/underdose them on fish/salmon oil or vitamin e. Just see how it goes. I feed raw meaty bones
almost every day, along with some form of muscle meat, organ meat 1-2 times a week and sometimes other stuff too such as raw eggs, live yogurt and fish.
The only thing different your puppy needs is a higher quantity of food for her body weight. Raw meaty bones need to be fed every day or every other day for them to get enough calcium, but remember that the bones you feed should be ones that are completely consumable, such as poultry, lamb or rabbit bones, not just chewed.
You can feed fruit and veg for treats if you like, they are not necessary though.
