the vet cuts my puppy nails. u can hurt them if u cut to deep. His hair is a different story i will let him on my bed then i give him a special bone i have for him and just lays there and lets me comb and cut and do what i need to but when i get to his face i will hold him in my arm and let him chew a bone i have its a little bone and it tottaly destracts him and i can trim him some times he relizes what i am doing and will try to bite me...ouch .... but we are getting use to this routine and i think as he grows he will get even better

Do you use a grooming table with a double loop? Somehow this seems to calm the savage beast.
I would never sedate my dog to groom. Crazy just to cut hair.

idk how to solve the devil problem , but i watch my mommy groom my yorkie all the time and she does his face when hes sleeping . your dog doesnt have to be a heavy sleeper, just a lazy one, lol!

no i usally just stick him on the table
