No Longer a Member | Stop rubbing that topknot! Arrgh. After giving Chloe her bath, and putting in her topknot (that is my name for her skinny little thin ponytail, as she has so little hair!) she always runs around trying to rub her head on anything she can. Sometimes she'll stop and take that itcher foot and start flicking at her head. I tell her no, and will even put her foot down when she tries to flick at it. But when I tell her no about the head rubbing, she doesn't seem to know what I'm telling her no to, and she looks at me like I'm being mean. Often, I'll just distract her with a ball or squeaky toy, but if I stop, she'll go back to trying to mess up her bow. Any ideas on getting her to stop with that? |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Too funny, happens here too. I've put Kenzi's topknot in and I no sooner put her down and she will run to her bed and roll around in it and she'll look worse than before I put it in.

| Izzie seems to do alright with just a rubberband topnot, but as soon as I put a ribbon w/rubberband or barrette in her hair she does the same thing....she somehow gets them out starts chewing them....needless to say I don't leave them in very long, or I should say "she" doesn't leave them in very long

| I started Lacy with a bow as soon as I got her at 11 weeks. She gets her hair done every morning with a bow put in and then I take it down at night. She's always been good about it (although she has messed up her hair like 6 times today and I had to redo it!...normally she doesn't mess it up at all) I think it helps if you start them early. And I guess you just have to get that rubber band in tight so they can't get it out easily...that way they'll eventually just have to get used to it...even if it has to look kindof messy at first.

| grooming Becca does this also after her bath..so I leave the head hair hanging loose for a little while until she gets it all out of her system...after about 15 minutes of "nuttiness" I can put the bow in and she is okay... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL Pat said just what I was going to say - I put nothing in my girls hair till they get their Freak on - when they're done and ready to sit for me - then we do hair if the hair is getting in her eyes or mouth when she's rubbing all over - try a little claw clip till you can get a bow in - but make sure you don't pinch her little head |

Get their freak on!! LOL, I love it! I have some of those little clips I picked up from Walmart, but Chloe's hair is soooo thin, that they slide right out Also, we're just starting to get her slow-growing hair to grow out the bangs ( ) that the last groomer cut in her hair. It just barely reaches the rubber band. It still needs about 1/2" to stay in good. Hopefully when that happens, her little pony wisp will be thicker! Anyone else just fall in love with them all over again each time they get a bath and have a fresh bow in? Last night was Chloe's, and even though she kept trying to get out that bow, I just kept thinking what a pretty girl she is. Her coat on the back of her neck is the perfect shade of steel blue (the rest still needs some work though, LOL). | |

| Minnie does it after her bath and then comes to show me how pretty she is lol. Other then that she lets me fix her topknot and put a bow in it.

| Gracie does the same thing. Lately, I give her a bath and then let her have at it, trying to rub the clean off. Once she settles down, I fix her hair! Then she seems to leave it alone. She just has to go through that routine of rubbing the clean off first!
