I really like grooming my own dogs - I feel like I have really accomplished something! With 5 dogs to groom - I'd go broke taking them to the groomers, which I didn't like doing anyway.

I still don't have the scissoring part down. Like on their legs or just trimming around the edges. Not quite sure how to do that.

For the small spots and around the bum area, I use the Wahl peanut. It works great! I got it on e-bay, it's the pink one and part of the money goes towards breast cancer research.

Oh, I was going to add that if the grooming is taking a long time, like if I'm shaving Tinka, we take a break and she gets a little treat or something. It makes it much easier and less stressful.

I use Justin's beard trimmer for my babies, all 3 of them. I trim their ears all the way down, I like mine like that. Teddy is soft coat so I let his hair around his eyes grow, Sir. Galahad's (I cut his to see if it would grow out to be like his mommy or daddy and he's a combo of both so far!) is Silky on his back and his head is I think as of now @ 13 months old a combo of cotton and silky, and legs are cotton, Tiffanie is Silky so I HAVE to trim her hair by her eyes it just WILL not lay down NO matter how long it gets sticks straight up. Below is photos right after baths of all three. The other one is on Valentines day this year. Hugs, Lee & Babies
