| ![]() Okay now that I have some shampoo ideas how do you get them used to having a bath? She wanted nothing to do with it and my wife and I had to team up. |

I bathe the girls in the kitchen sink. I use the rubber mats in the sink so their feet don't slip and fortunately I have a shower head with the hose faucet so it works great for me. While giving a bath in nice warm water, I let the sink fill up to about half way up their legs. Talk really calm and tell her over and over what a good girl she is. I give my girls kisses and hugs while I bathe them and they get better and better with each bath. Believe me the first time was like WWIII! Be really careful cuz they can jump out of that sink in a flash and they have no concept of height! Don't take your hand or eyes off of her until she is safe on the floor! With the blow dryer, I got them used to the sound and the blowing a few days before their first bath. I just had them in the bathroom with me and would let the wind blow on them little by little. It's cute when they can't figure out what's messing with them! Rub a dub-dub! Have fun in the tub!

| ![]() Make sure you have a good water temp and everything set out ahead of time so you make it as short as possible. Either do it in the sink with the sprayer (I do this with Sammy, Loki is too big) or you can get an attachment for the faucet in the tub. Loki lets me just use a big cup to dump water on him, but well, Loki is awesome because he's been getting baths since he was a baby and he just deals. I always give him a treat when he's done and I usually let him go run around before I blow dry him so it's not complete torture. Sammy came to use hating to have her face touched and not really enjoying the bath. I am very gentle with her and stop to give her treats a lot. I had to get her used to just getting her face washed first. I find that cleaning faces/eyes/teeth every day and feet and butts when necessary can stretch out the need for a bath to about 10 days. If you let that stuff build up they get STINKY and need one every 6-7 days for sure. Loki's eye goobers smell and Sammy gets her dinner in her hair so we are constantly washing faces. Do you have a Kong? Put her in the sink/tub and have someone hold a peanut butter Kong up for her to lick. Then give her the bath while she's licking the Kong. If she's easily fooled, like Sammy, you're golden. If she's like Loki though, she'll see right through your little plan... ![]()

| ![]() Well this was her first bath/shower so I understand her being a little taken back by it. We did put her in the sink with a mat and just used a cup on her it seemed to work good. What is a Kong? |
