My furkids Donating Member | what should I use? Sadie is 3 yrs old...she has never had a "beautiful" coat..it feels almost coarse. I wash her with spaws conditioning shampoo and just started using tropiclean conditioner...although her hair feels soft it kind of feels dry...I know this doesn't make sense...don't know how else to explain it...Lillie is 6 1/2 months old...she keeps pulling Sadies scrunchies out which is causing alot of breakage....Sadie doesn't have a long coat and never has had a matt..I would like to know what I could give her that would help her hair to be stronger and maybe not so coarse....any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance Brenda

| The generic answer (mostly used on YT) .............................try missing link OR Grizzly salmon oil .............followed by cowboy magic detangler

| Brenda, try changing her food. Maybe you haven't found the "right" food that will work for Sadie. Since I have been feeding Canidae All Life Stages (over a year now) my kids' coats have improved tremendously. Of course I also use Missing Link and Coat Handler's products. I have also used the Grizzly Salmon Oil -- with good results. You can also use a cold pressed fish oil capsule (for humans). I give that to Chattie, I started off by using a pin to puncture the top and letting her lick off a few drops but now she gets a whole one -- it is so funny watching her chew the smushy capsule. |

I changed them over to Canidae about a month ago...I am sure it is going to take longer than a month to notice a difference. I am going to do some reading on Missing Link...Thank you!

| Sometimes our Yorkies have a little Australian Shepherd in them, and there isn't much you can do to get a nice long silky coat. Just make sure she gets good food, and omega fatty acids for a healthy skin and coat. As for the top knot, I'd suggest not having one. This was the reason I had to cut Zada and Azrael shorter and do away with the top-knot. They would drag each other all over the place and end up looking like sheep dogs. |

| What exactly is missing link? And what benefits does it have for your dog?

Where do you get the Chris Christensen products? Do you have to buy them off the internet? ...Is Sea Breeze Oil something you put in their food or on their hair? Thanks V!
