| I find myself just using a comb too. Almost NEVER touch the bristle/pin brush, now. I feel like I have so much more control with the comb....I can really FEEL what I'm doing, get at those mats, and also use my fingers to minimize pain in detangling.

| Yes that's why I always used a comb. Because i feel I'm getting down through the hair and feel a brush would just go over the surface. Maybe I'm wrong..Don't know as I never actually tried to brush

| I always start out with a brush. For me, it does seem to get the smaller tangles or mats and my Yorkies seem to enjoy being brushed. I then move on to the comb to get the rest of the tangles out. They usually don't have many tangles as I usually groom them of a morning and then again in the evening. I have four and it usually only takes a 1/2 hour while watching TV.

| I use a good quality ,steel, fine tooth FLEA COMB with a nice rubber handle. I LOVE IT and it really gets them smoothed out and tangle free Whoops I forgot to mention it's one where the prongs aresmooth and cylinder shaped . Not the kind with the flat type prongs.

| I've always used a fine tooth comb too. I know I've gotten ALL of the tangles out and Gracie and Spike both liked it. Now I've got Sugar and he HATES it. I got him as an adult and I guess he must be used to brushes. I'm trying to talk myself into the CC brush everyones raving about.
