| ![]() How long does it take for a coat to grow out? Tootie is 9 months old and still seems to have much shorter hair than the pics I see of pups this age... He has been groomed a few times but I wasnt happy so I decided to let it grow out(if I can stand it). He WILL NOT tolerate top knots or bows so I have to trim is "bangs" but the rest of him doesnt seem to grow. d

| ![]() It took Venus almost 2 years 9 months to have a very long coat . Her daughter Kjara had her full coat at 18 months old . It all depends on genetic . |

| ![]() Scampers hair grow incredibly fast. At 5 months old his hair is already pretty long. At the rate his hair is growing he will probably have a full coat at 1 years old or less. He is all hair. I gave him a bath the other day and I was shocked at how small he really is!! When he is wet he looks so small and looks like a different yorkie all together. He looks twice his size when his hair is dry compared to when it is wet. I just amazes me how fast his hair is growing and how small he is with wet hair. If I chopped off all of his hair he would be so tiny. Trixie on the otherhand, is 10 months old and it took her that long to get her hair to grow out some. She probably won't have a full coat until she is 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Her hair just grows so slow and takes forever to grow out. I can't cut her hair short because it would probably take a whole year for it to grow back to where it was. The all grow at different paces, Tootie probably just grows his hair slow like trixie.

| ![]() I am not sure why I am worried, it will just be more to groom.. haha... but I want to see him like that once, with long flowing hair... then I will probly keep him in a puppy cut. He is a wild little boy who LOVES rooting around outside and getting dirty! tks, d

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() I read about 1/2 " per month..... but my Chanels hair grows faster than that ...A cottony haired yorkie grows faster than a silky haired yorkie. |

| ![]() Diesel is 11 months old and has a full coat. I also trimmed it back some when he was about 9 months but it has all come back now. His hair grows really fast. I am thinking of cutting his hair back but I just can't imagine him with out his long hair. It just may take you little one a little longer to get his coat. Michelle |
