| A question about my Yorkies coat Luna Bella's coat is shiny and soft and poker straight only thing is its only about 2 inches long and around her face is super short and on the top of her head is half an inch long. Now her dad which pictures will be included his dad is a champion pure bred Yorkie and his mom is a pure bred Yorkie both with papers. Now Luna's mom is a mix of a pure bred Yorkie which is her dad with papers and her moms mom is a mix of pure Yorkie and a Yorkie poo so the only mix in Luna is a 1/8 poodle and rest is Yorkie so why is her hair so short and taking so long to grow! https://www.instagram.com/p/-xaEGvI-oq/ this is luna https://www.instagram.com/p/-iF3tEo-t8/ https://www.instagram.com/p/-aavv0I-vA/ https://www.instagram.com/p/-aamWFo-u4/ https://www.instagram.com/p/850stJo-sD/ https://www.instagram.com/p/9G4tbyI-lf https://www.instagram.com/p/850mLzo-r2/ |

| Your baby is very cute! Genetics is a complicated subject. It's not a matter of being 1/8 Poodle. Instead, you have to look at genes, dominant and recessive, for instance. I've read that the ideal Yorkie coat is one of the most difficult to achieve in breeding. Even the best breeding pairs with long lines of all champions do not guarantee the ideal coat or other characteristics. Even champions produce more 'pet quality' pups than champions. Might take to age 1 or even 2 before you know exactly what kind of adult coat she will have.

| Thank you for the reply it does seem like her coat is growing longer and longer just very slowly thank you she is my angel she has tones more pictures of her on her instagram I just get tones of people saying she is not a Yorkie so I wanted to know if there was a known reason of slow hair growth that I should be worried about. |

| I'd be much more apt to say you've got a chihuahua mix there than a poodle. She is cute! |

Many times bitches can be sneak bred by unknown sires, and only one or two pups in the litter will come out with that father. Yes, they can have different dads and be in the same litter! I would definitely say that momma was bred by a chihuahua. Your girl looks very chihuahua. | |

| Like I said before I've gotten full DNA test the dad is the dad and the mom only had a tiny bit of poodle it's weird that she is looking like that. But yes she is very adorable she is 2.8 pounds and only 5 inches off the ground from her belly she is very tiny from neck to tail she is 6 inches |
