| To tape or not to tape Hi there, I and my baby Zoe are new to YT. Zoe is now 7 months old and her ears are still floppy. I love my Stinka regardless, but I was curious about the pros and cons of ear taping. Has anyone done ear taping and if so what was the ultimate out come? |

| Hi there! There was a time when I thought Buster's ears weren't going to stand up, so I asked the vet about taping them, he refused to do it and recommended that I not get anyone else to do it. He's not a show dog and it really didn't matter to me if they stood up or not.

I also trimmed 1/3 of his ear hair so as to support the muscle and remove extra weight from the ear. Hope this helps | |

YT 500 Club Member | If they don't stand by 6 months, chances are they want.. My Yorkie us now 4 months and hers just started standing this week. I tried taping them many times. They would only stay up for a day they flop back down. A groomer suggested trimming the hair off the ears to remove the weight. They did and in three days they were standing. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I much prefer the erect ears on a Yorkie but if they don't go up its not a huge deal. I would never tape them again... it was one of the worst decisions I ever made with my first pup. It was so painful getting it off. Just give it time, it may still happen. I've had a pup with ears never went up and she was adorable !!

| Stand up ears My Murphy wouldn't hold his up so my groomer shaved them. We left them that way about a month and they have been up ever since. I think he thought they were to heavy and he's a little lazy. He is 2 now and no more problem. |
