| ![]() He looks beautiful. I am in the process of growing out Huey's nose, too. A groomer once shaved the bridge of his nose and I kept it that way a long time, but am ready for him to wear it longer to match the rest of him. Here is the before, with the shaved nose, and here he is this week (this is the stinkeye, I didn't want a bath pic I already posted on another thread, but it shows his nose)

| ![]() Water on a cosmetic puff, water on a paper towel, water on my fingers. . . all day long pushing the hair down. Once I tried to make a home made gel out of some stuff from the health food store but I just didn't like putting something around his eyes. You just have to tough it out for awhile. I do think I read about some products some folks use on here.

| ![]() The ONE time I had him groomed by a groomer this is what they did. I thought it gave him a surprised look to his face. Actually I think he looks like a Leprechaun. He was about 5 - 6 months old.

| ![]() He actually looks quite cute like that, but I understand being frustrated with the short length and trying to grow it back out. All I can say is be thankful they didn't shave him from the tip of his nose to his eyes like they did Huey. Huey looked like he had a really long, hairless nose, and being 1/2 silky, he already has a longer nose than a yorkie. I think they look prettier with the longer nose hair parted down the middle.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() He is so adorable and his top knot looks great. SO smooth and perfect. Im growing out Ruby's too. The loose hairs above her eyes are almost 3 inches now. Still a ways to go before I can get them in her top knot. I never know what to do with the inner eye hairs. They are so out of control when I try to let them grow out and never lay down so I just cut them.

| ![]() I have the same question. I'm in the process of growing out both Taka and Lily's face hair and it just keeps getting in their eyes and it looks like they have a visor and cant see us. Lily's is curly so its even harder to maintain, how can i keep it frombeing so annoying to them?? |

| ![]() Deuce is so gorgeous, love his hair, his face...love him! loll It takes about 6 months to grow out the hair between the eyes, long enough so that the hairs will weigh down & lay flat naturally. I don't use anything like top knot gel on it either, but I did what you did...use water. I cleaned their eyes several x's a day w/a wet baby terry cloth.

| ![]() I don't like cutting the hair around the eyes. Once you cut it, you always have to keep it cut to keep the eyes free from junk. The weight of the hair will weigh it down once it gets longer. I highly recommend using Jenny's Madan mustache comb to train the eye hairs. Mary, I see you already use one on Deuce. A cottony coat might not lay down flat and may stay puffy, but that looks adorable, too. I love seeing all of your photos of Deuce. You do a wonderful job grooming your gorgeous little boy. |

| ![]() It took at least 6 months of constant care. Yes his eyes did water when they were irritated but I give him Nursery Water instead of tap water so his eyes do not tear and stain very much at all.

| ![]() I know what you mean with the half face shave. Deuce had a tooth abcess that appeared on his face in November of 2011. The Vet shaved half his face in trying to figure out the cause. It took a good six months to even out. Be patient.
