| growing long coat I have my first yorkie. He is 10 motnhs old. I'm not sure what type of coat he has. He has very few knots if any. I brush him every day. I bath and condition him once a week. How long does it take for a goat to grow long and look fuller. He looks very thin. He is meduim length right now. Just curious how patient i need to be or what I can do to help. He has never been trimmed other than his eyebrows. will try and get a picture uploaded tomorrow. |

| There are many factors that will determine coat growth: genetic and environmental. If your boy does not mat or tangle easily, he probably has a silk coat, which can be slower growing. If he is tall (long legs) like my boys, growing the coat to the floor will take longer. My boys are full brothers, but Teddy's coat grows faster than Max's. Max is going to be 3 next month and his topknot is getting really thick. I would say that his coat is finally fully mature.
