| Bathing with E-Collar How do I bathe my Yorkie if he has that E-collar on~? How do I bathe his facial area~? It is difficult to brush him on his facial area and now it is matted up somewhat. This is the 2nd week that he has that E-collar on. What have you all done if you all have had or have this E-Collar on~? He's really needing a bath since it is past due. Should I take him to the groomers~? |

| You should be able to take the e-collar off long enough to brush your baby. I don't know why your yorkie is wearing the collar but if it is because of surgery you shouldn't let him/her get wet,but taking it off long enough to brush should be fine.

| My Yorkie has an ulcer on his eye and the Vet told me not to take it off, whatsoever. Plus, it took 2 people to get it on. He's starting to smell with that collar and its been 2 weeks he's had it on. I added some powder around his neck and inside around his neck and collar, as the groomer told me on the phone. But he still smells despite that. Any other suggestions are appreciated. |

| I would make sure that it is okay to wash his face area. If he's got an ulcer, the vet may not want it to get any water or "soap" on it. Check with him/her first if it will be okay to give a bath. There a numerous spray shampoos as well that can be used on the body at least. I use them from time to time between baths. Check out my collars, they are much more comfortable than those plastic ones.

| I've got a call into the Vet and waiting to hear back. He's due back on Monday for a checkup. I have to use their E-Collars, and I can't change or do anything without the Vet's approval. Thanks for your responses. |

| I am sorry I just thought he might have been neutered or something. I hope you get good news from the vets Monday.
