Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I groom my nine and 4 of my puppies I sold. I can't imagine taking them to be groomed. It was trial and error learning but they always look nice now and doing it yourself makes it easy to maintain the perfect look.

| My groomer charges $30 per puppy. I do keep them very short in the summer as we live in Texas and the temperature can get in the triple digits. I have taken them and she has only charged me $30 for the both of them. But I think she only bathes and trims them up for that price. She is very good, she does it out of her house. Some of the shops in my area want $75 and up for grooming. She is very soft spoken and very gentle with my little babies. |

| My groomer charges $30 for shampoo, hair cut (shave anal area, trim foot pads, trim ears, even up body hair, trim eyebrows), blow dry and brush hair and trim toenails. (And she puts a hairbow in.) Her shop is in the same building as my vet and I get an early appt. so I can drop her off on my way to work. She is through in a couple of hours and my husand usually picks her up. She doesn't work on Saturdays. I have to wait two weeks for an appointment as she stays booked up that far in advance. She works with all breeds. She has two beautiful Yorkies herself, so I have mostly relied on her judgement as to how to groom Abby. Abby is 7 months old and going this week for her 4th grooming. She really needs it every month My niece has recently gotten a Yorkie and she takes her puppy to another groomer about 10 miles away. She pays only $25 and her groomer also brushes his teeth. Her groomer works 1/2 day on Saturday. I have considered changing groomers, but our groomer is so sweet I don't want to hurt her feelings. I may try her sometime though. |

| $20 for a puppy cut, sanitary trim, nails, bath and blow dry. Last time I took Motley in for just a bath, dry, nails and trim and was charged only $15. This is even a groomer who will actually listen and do only what I asked. No more suprises when I pick him up and that is worth way more money then I'm charged! |

| Cooper is going for his first grooming next week. It will be $35 for bath, cut, nails, cleaning ears. I will drop him off on my way to work and pick him up on my way home. She has Yorkies as well and he will get to play while he is there.

| My girls are only just turning 6mths and so I've only had their nails done, both of them for a total of 5 bucks. But my groomer does 80lb Bear and 10lb Baxter both, bath, trim, baxter gets his anals squeezed and a modified schnauzer (makes him look like a westie), nails cut, pads trimmed, the entire enchilada for 50 bucks total. So, I guess I get a pretty good deal. She does them about every couple months. They'll be doing both my girls when they're ready.

I appreciate everyone's input. I am not unhappy nor overly happy with the groomer we have been using, she does a nice job on Cooper but she now has assistants and I swear the last time someone else cut there hair....it looked totally different. I had the choice to make an appointment with one of the less experienced groomers and I chose to wait an additional 2 weeks to get him into our normal groomer, so was a little aggravated that I think someone else cut there hair but I still got charged the Senior groomer price.

| I bought a CD on how to trim a yorkie from a lady on this forum. barbie oyunlari oyun kanal d at suehentschel.com I've been doing my two male yorkies since. I do let the vet trim there nails for $8 a piece. I just don't feel comfortable doing it myself. This is a great CD with lots of info.
