| OH my god what did I do? I went and took my almost 2year old boy Paco to the groomer. THere must have been a miscommunication because I told her I wanted a trim and the fake skirt or what ever they call it trim the belly down but leave the leangth on the sides. I believe this is where the miscommunication came in she asked if I wanted a bow and I said no, all his beautiful hair around his face and top of head is gone it is so short. The rest is fine. I feel so bad, but I couldnt blame her because I should have been more telling I guess but I said trim and I thought that would be enough. My poor paco I know it will grow back but it takes so long.I just got him but the way he looked he never had it cut so does this mean I need to wait over a year to see all that hair again? |

| I feel the same way, I mean are we on the same level with these people. SHe did a great job with my girl. I just didnt need a bow in his hair not that I wanted it all off. I normally trim the feet and butt but this time I wanted to have the curtain bacause the hair on his belly gets tangled and smells like pee just after a few days of a bath. It is going to take some time to get used to it. Doesnt it make them look like a different dog. I am likeis it really you Paco. SHe said he looks so cut and told meshe cutlike 5 inches offhis head. Isaid I lovedhis long hair, then I said I guess it will grow back. My one year girl Anna's hair is not even close to how long hiswas so I know it will take like a year or more for itto come back. It is as short as a 10 week old pup, what can we do after it is done. Just sit back I guess CHristina |

| I did worse than you. My puppy is 5 months old, I have had her groomed twice already. The first time was OK, the last time I could hardly even tell she had a haircut, she looked shaggy after just a week. I called last week for an appt with the groomer and could not get one for two weeks. My friend said she trims her dog herself (a Shih-Tsu) so she said she could show me how to trim my Yorkie between groomings, so I won't have to take her so much. I said OK. She trimmed so much off it is pitiful and it's not even. I told her I wanted to leave the fluffy hair on her tail and I don't know what happened, buy my poor puppy has about one hair sticking up from her tail. Thank goodness she didn't do any cutting around the face. I have to take her to the groomer next week and I am so embarrassed. I know she is going to think that I brought her in the clean up somebody else's mess, but I already had the appt before this happened. I'm afraid it will take months to grow out to one length again. |

| OH MY! How awful! I always take a picture along of what I want and then I can say "a little longer here or a little shorter there". I'm sure you realize this now. Hindsight is always 20/20.

| I normally cut the hairs everywhere but the facial area, puppy hair grows so fast but my poor lil Paco looks so bad I think, but I just love that long hair around the face. Now it is so short on the top I never even knew people would cut it that short. The bad thing is I say I should have stated it more clearly I dont know, I just thought a trim was a trim and nothing more. My husband sais we learn from our mistakes and I believe I have but it is so hard to wait for his hair to grow back. I cant believe I even went in to have it done. They make them smell so good though. It is hard to believe it would affect me so much though |

You should have made sure the groomer realized it was her mistake and not yours! I feel your pain though, yorkies are known for their hair. I'm too scared to take Fancy to a groomer and she has yet to get a haircut! I've trimmed her booty & paws but that is it, I'm not sure what I'll do when she needs an all over trim! I hear way to many horror stories on YT!

| I know I should have, but I was like oh my is it my fault should I have been more clear, but I think a trim is a trim. I think she knows I didnt like it by my actions, but now I am like why didntI say something instead of trying to be nice. |

My furkids Donating Member | This is one of the many reasons I do it myself...I am not a professional but I think I do a pretty good job. I use clippers with a 1 1/4 in guide so it's not real short...they still have enough length to their hair but not enough to get matted..and they look adorable. Fortunately yorkies hair does grow pretty fast. I'm sure he still looks very handsome.

| I am so sorry this happened. I feel the exact same. I took my 7 month old Mimi for her first cut last week and they cut ALL of her hair around her face. I mean she has nothing. I was so distraught I didn't know what to do, I just walked out of the groomers in shock. I hope it grows back soon. |
