| Tooth brushing Does anyone know how to make brushing a puppy's teeth a little easier? A favorite puppy toothpaste?

| Not sure if you can use it safely on puppies, but we use Petzlife on our Yorkies. But it is a great idea to get a puppy used to the toothbrush when they are little!

| Thank you! I went to the pet store and purchased a "tooth brushing kit" with a two headed, long handled brush, toothpaste and a finger brush. I washed and rinsed the toothbrush and let Angus "mouth" it while it was wet so that when he is a little older (only 3 /12 months now) he will not be afraid of it.

| I make toothbrushing a game when they are little so this way they associate the toothbrush with fun. I will play a little with them until they are mouthing the toothbrush, wiggle it around in their mouth a bit and then take it away. After they are comfortable with it, in between play I will pick one up, brush one side of the mouth and then resume play and repeat until I have brushed all of their teeth. This method takes a little longer but they are happy about it and have nice pearly whites. The only downside is if they ever find a toothbrush left unattended it is one high prize! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I use a vanilla scented tooth paste (can't recall the name right now) that we got from petco with a brushing kit. However, I use my finger instead of using a brush. I started brushing Lulu's teeth like that when she was 3 months (she is 5 now). In the beginning she didn't like it so much, but now she is used to it. We have a grooming routine with Lulu. Every morning, I wash her eyes with a cotton ball and warm water to take the eye "boogers" out. I brush her teeth, and I comb her hair. I give her treats, before - during - and after the grooming session. Hope it helps.

| Is it possible if someone post a video of them brushing their yorkie's teeth with a toothbrush? I'm so curious how it's done |

| Tooth brushing became MUCH easier for me when I found smaller brushes. I use toddler toothbrushes or ones made for cats. They are smaller and work better for me.
