I use a vanilla scented tooth paste (can't recall the name right now) that we got from petco with a brushing kit. However, I use my finger instead of using a brush. I started brushing Lulu's teeth like that when she was 3 months (she is 5 now). In the beginning she didn't like it so much, but now she is used to it.
We have a grooming routine with Lulu. Every morning, I wash her eyes with a cotton ball and warm water to take the eye "boogers" out. I brush her teeth, and I comb her hair. I give her treats, before - during - and after the grooming session.
