Donating YT Addict | Question about shampoo???? I know there are alot of choices out there and I've read alot about shampoos on here, but this is my question ........What shampoo do you find works good on yorkies with a cottony coat??? that's what Tyke has and I've used 3 different ones and they don't seem to work very good. They just don't give a good shine or softness. just wondering about anyone's opinion. as always thanks for your answers.

| shampoo I like Pantene personally. The shampoo and conditioner works well. use baby shampoo on the face area. I've used alot of different 'dog' shampoos and conditioners in the past and Pantene is great. 2nd choice would be Cowboy Magic, shampoo, conditioner and detangler. Linda |

| I use Paul mitchell and love it. I feel it leaves the most shine. I also have Buddy wash which is good but I dont see as much shine with it.

| My Yorkie has a cottony coat. I recently started using a product called "The Coat Handler" coat conditioner. It leaves his fur incredibly soft and shiny.

| I use Buddy Wash on my two with cottony coats. Since it doesn't have "soap" in it, it doesn't dry out their coats like other shampoos. It still gets them clean though and it smells awesome! I use the conditioner on Sammy but not Loki since he doesn't need it. I have little sample bottles on my website if you are interested and don't want to buy a huge bottle But a huge bottle lasts forever! Oh my other secret trick is to use MY conditioner (Matrix sleek look) on Sammy, which I did before I cut her hair short. Any "smoothing" conditioner will work. It doesn't smell as good as the Buddy Wash though

| I am a groomer and the BEST shampoo and conditioner I think is on the market today is by Coat Handler! I have had alot of success with this product, it leaves the coat so nice and the conditioner is wonderful, it is a "leave in conditioner" and does not leave a greasy residue on the coat! I think you can still get this product thru Pet Edge! It seems a bit pricey BUT, is super concentrated and so you get alot from one bottle.

Yorkie Yakker | Shampoo I use Hydrosurge from Petsmart. They want to sell it with their faucet apparatus. But you can buy bottles of it at Petsmart. I was very interested in the "cottony coat" problem. Duke has areas of it on his back and I thought it was something I did to him. Thanks for this Yorkie talk. It is very useful. |
