I use Buddy Wash on my two with cottony coats. Since it doesn't have "soap" in it, it doesn't dry out their coats like other shampoos. It still gets them clean though and it smells awesome! I use the conditioner on Sammy but not Loki since he doesn't need it. I have little sample bottles on my website if you are interested and don't want to buy a huge bottle
But a huge bottle lasts forever!
Oh my other secret trick is to use MY conditioner (Matrix sleek look) on Sammy, which I did before I cut her hair short. Any "smoothing" conditioner will work. It doesn't smell as good as the Buddy Wash though
