You are allowed to use certain products including color enhancing shampoos, and sprays; you are not allowed to use any permanent coloring agents. Some products just effect how light hits the hair shaft. I think the handling in the video looked rougher than it probably was. I had a very hard time with Joey's first bath, and I called the breeder, and she told me to handle him very "matter of factly", don't coddle or baby, because this makes them more nervous. I couldn't believe the difference with the next bath, I pretended to be cool and firm, and he responded so much better, as he if had confidence in what I was doing. So let the dog's behavior demonstrate whether you or the groomer are doing a good job. The groomer, who is doing a good job, has a well-behaved dog.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This shocks me, I've never seen it done, but I saw what it looks like all wrapped, and it would take me hours to do those perfect little circles. I had no idea some people could do it that fast.

| Wrapping does take long time when you are new to it, but as with all skills; you get better with it. Of course, it also depends on the dog; if its jumping and moving around all the time it takes longer time.. I took time today when I wrapped my dog; in 20 mins he was back to his toys. I took off the old wraps, brushed him, wrapped (he's in full coat) and put on his jacket. And I was in no hurry. |

| He seemed a little rough to me too but what a beautiful coat. I wonder if this is the procedure for all show dogs?

| I didn't really care for how the Yorkie was being picked up underneath her neck like that. She looked great afterward but if I, personally, saw someone handling Lilly in such a way, well... it wouldn't be pretty - show dog or not .

| My first thought, like some others, was that the coloring seems like something that wouldn't be legal for show. But I don't show, so hey, what do I know? It really does seem like cheating, though. |

| I think the groomer did good. The dog seemed to be used to be handled that way. Thanks for sharing
