Help! Grooming bands pulling out too much hair

Now these are definatly it. But I get them in many colors (hot pink, neon green, etc)

ah ha!! this makes sense. I do wrap them around a lot because they tend to fall out. I will try to wrap them around less.. I also will try the comb thing so it still looks neat after I loosen it up!! thanks so much!!

My Yorkie's hair is of different lengths around her face, so it is very difficult to tie up in a band. I try really small sleeper hair clips and sometimes a small plait to keep her hair out of her eyes.

I get these at my grocery store. I will look today but I think it is 20 for a buck and a half. That is all I use now. Babies r us has them with bows on them. really cute...but I could do that myself.

Bella's hair has grown back since using these.

Those bands are all i really use now..they are soft and comfortable..sometimes its tricky finding them small enough though!

Sammy gets those soft ones out in 30 seconds, even the smaller ones. She thinks it is her job to get her topknot out...

we use scrunchies in Avie's hair! (we use them everyday.. they are always in! they don't pull the hair at all! and they are nice and comfy for the babies! they come in a TON of colors as well! we buy the HUGE pack of them for SUPER inexpensive! we use the grooming bands for special occasions, weekends, etc. but other than that she always wears the little baby scrunchies!! check em out!

yeah pebbles can take those little soft ones out too. ill give them another try and hope for the best

I use nothing but scrunchies from the Dollar Store...They have 300 of them for a dollar...They are really tiny ones but stretch pretty good...When I take them out none of mine loose coat due to them...They slide out...

You have to watch tho when putting them in not to get other strands of coat caught in them when you twist them for the ponys...I can't use the scrunchies from Wal-Mart they don't stretch good enough and when you take them out they loose coat. My gals are rough when playing and pull each others pony out and these scrunchies does help them not to loose coat.

I tried bands broke my gals and guys coat so I went back to the scrunchies...I bought all they had last time I went which was like 6 bags so were good to go for a while. lol. If you'd like me to send you a few to try you could PM me your address and I'll send you some. They have them in different colors too for boys and girls. Hope this will help you. Lee

for everyday use to keep her hair out her face I use those mini clips. their shaped like little flowers and come in lots of colors. they seem to hold well until her brother pulls them out.. I get them at walmart or walgreens maybe a few dollars at most

I use these little barrets. They are metal and you 'snap' them in the middle to open and close. I find them at the Dollar Store, Target, Walmart, etc. They work real good for a quick fix. But I don't use them when Gracie is going to be unsupervised. I put them on one in either direction to help hold all the little hairs. Topnot gel is also a must with her.

We use the little Goody clasps for every day.. or just barrette bows, no band underneath... Just be careful with the clasps that you attach them some way they are just "hugging" the hair, but not pulling the skin... we also had the bald spot some time ago...

I have some of those clips but they just fall out? she shakes her head and they fall out within like 5 minutes.. ill try putting three in like you have it here to see if it stays

also, where do you get topknot gel? i know petsilk has some but i forgot where I saw it online

for the past few days ive given up and shes been running around with her hair down over her face looking like some wild animal

I say use the scrunchies till she gets her hair back. Those are soft and you might have to redo it during the day but it won't pull her hair out. Save the bands for weekends or special occasions and try what was suggested with the hair.
