| Grooming. Puppy cut? I have gotten Kaya groomed about 3 times. i never really get what i want. i know the standard cut is a puppy cut and a show cut. but i was wondering if there were any others? i want her short so she doesnt melt away this summer, but the last time i asked them to do a puppy cut, they shaved down to nearly nothing. they even shaved off her adorable scruffy eyebrows and beard. she looked like an awkward chihuahua. i would post pictures, but i refused to take pictures of her til her hair grew back. now shes long(er) andscruffy and i want to make her cooler what should i tell them so i dont have poor Kaya looking like a mess. |

| Oh, I'm sorry the grooming didn't work out. When I groomed my own furbaby, I accidently when scissor happy and cut off too much as well so i sympathize. hehe. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question but I hope all works out well! |

Tell them not to shave her...She can just be trimmed into a puppy cut...That's what I do for Koda and I still leave her enough hair to make her pig tails.

| The first time I had my girl Molly groomed I took along pictures of what I wanted. That way I was able to "tailor" the look I wanted. I love the puppy cut but my girl has beautiful wavy/curly hair so I wanted it a little longer. I also like the tips of her ears cut short. Unfortunatly my girl is a big old scaredy cat and hates the groomer, so I think I will need to learn to groom her myself. I see some bad hair days in her future. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Hi and welcome to Yorkie Talk! I just took a look at your profile and your picture album. WOW, Kaya reminds me of my Lexie; especially in one particular picture you have. I don't know how big (or small) Kaya is; Lexie is a bit of a teapot at 10 lbs. She is long, tall, and lean. Anyway, here is a picture of Lexie the last time she was groomed. It was kind of a schnauzer cut....shorter on the top of her back, but still had the longer hair on the end of her tail, her legs, her face, and was still "skirted" on her sides. I really liked it alot. Maybe you might want to try it????
