I just took a look at your profile and your picture album. WOW, Kaya reminds me of my Lexie; especially in one particular picture you have. I don't know how big (or small) Kaya is; Lexie is a bit of a teapot at 10 lbs. She is long, tall, and lean.
Anyway, here is a picture of Lexie the last time she was groomed. It was kind of a schnauzer cut....shorter on the top of her back, but still had the longer hair on the end of her tail, her legs, her face, and was still "skirted" on her sides. I really liked it alot. Maybe you might want to try it????
