| Uh oh, I got scissor happy! I was giving Jake a bath today and decided to trim his face. He was being so good, that I started on his ears next. Then, I just got scissor happy and cut all over! I haven't been able to get any good pictures yet, but I'm not finished with his cut yet. His hair was almost to the floor, so I got all the longer hair out of the way with scissors. Now all I have to do is take the clippers and finish it off. He has gotten so used to me grooming and bathing him now, that I actually think he enjoys it! He stayed completely still for me! Now that I'm getting the hang of it, I really like grooming my boys! He seemed happy with his cut. When I put him down, he did his little run around in circles happy dance, and Jackson joined him! The first time I cut his hair, it took my hubby and I three hours!!! Today, I did it by myself. I had him cut, bathed and dried in an hour because he was so good! Anyone else enjoy grooming?

YT 2000 Club Member | I can't wait for you to post pictures! I also want to say I think you are brave to do it on your own too!! I am looking for ideas for my Jeter. I was going to keep his hair growing but My husband informed me that he really wants to have Jeter get a puppy cut for the summer and offered to take him to the groomers. I am afraid I would screw his hair up big time if i cut him myself! But then I have heard all theses horror stories of what groomers have done to YT members yorkies and I would feel so terrible if that was to happen to my boy

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'd love to see pictures. I groom my 3 but Pixie is silky coated and very easy to groom just sits there, Roxie is a puppy but starting to get a few mats and won't sit still. Cali is my scratchy cottony coated girl and grooming her is so difficut as she gets matted 2 hours after I comb her out from scratching, so I am looking for a shorter, not shaved style. I groom mine every night at bedtime and I like to do it Ijust wish I was better at it.
