| Ears stand, really necessary?? My COCO its 4 monts old and doesn't want to stand his ears, i did shave them and tape them before, but the final results didnt satisfied me, his ears are kind of big and he was looking weird, i really like how he looks with his ears down. QUESTION: Is it really necessary to make his ears stand??? HERE IS A PICTURE OF HIM TAKE A LOOK AND GIVE ME YOUR OPINION PLEASE!!! Next to him PEKO his little brother, he is a shih tzu.

| Yorkies originally had flop ears and they were cropped to make them stand. It's not that unusual 150 years later to find one that just doesn't want to stand. If the ear leather is large or thick and the cartiledge is weak it may be more fight than it is worth to get them to stand. Since he is a beloved pet and cute as a bug with his ears down I say let them be if you want. Make sure that they are kept clean and dry and enjoy his forever puppy look.

| Some people like the floppy look and they intentionally do not trim the hair on the ears because they like them down. The only instance that you would really need the ears up is if you were interested in showing your dog but other than that is just a preference. Your boy is adorable. |

| He is young..Bella had one ear to fall but after trimminig the hair and some puppy vitamins..it just came up about 6 months i think. It may have come up even without the vitamins..who knows. The doctor told me it was because she was teething and needed the calcium elsewhere for the time being. |

| Your babies are adorable. We got Punkin at 8 months and she has floppy ears. She will be 3 in April. I love the floppy eared look. My only concern is ear infections. Punkin has been battling chronic yeast infections in her ears. I do wonder if her ears were up, would we have this problem. |
