Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ears Can a puppy be TOO old to get their ears to stand up? I've not taped Guinness' ears yet. I think they are so cute floppy, but they get dirty, so I'm thinking I do want to tape them after all. He was born Oct 8, so that will make him about 4 months old tomorrow. If I do the taping this weekend, will it be too late?? I tried to shave his ears tonight but he flipped out and I felt too bad to force it.

| My Punkin has floppy ears too. I think it is soo cute, but we have a terrible time keeping her yeast infection free. Since the ears are down the air doesn't get at them enough. She will be 3 in April so I'm sure there isn't much I can do. Sorry I don't have advice, but I'm sure someone will be by soon with some. |

| Most people say that if they are not up by 6 months then they probably won't come up. Most Yorkies ears will come up naturally but many need help. You have to keep the hair on the ears cut short. If your dog is terrified of the clippers then you can just use some small scissors to carefully trim the hair off. Freezer tape works best for taping ears. Massaging the ears also helps. Good luck! |

Thank you, I'll try the scissors, too. I'll post pics of the taped ears, so others can see it/
