I've not taped Guinness' ears yet. I think they are so cute floppy, but they get dirty, so I'm thinking I do want to tape them after all. He was born Oct 8, so that will make him about 4 months old tomorrow. If I do the taping this weekend, will it be too late??

If you want them to stand you MUST get them shaved first. The hair weighs the ears down, then you can see if taping them will help. He is still pretty young. If you have a small battery shaver, try just holding him and holding the shaver in your other hand to let him get used to the sound, then when he is comfortable with that, lay shaver against his body so that he can feel the vibrations and learns that it will not hurt him. When he accepts that, then move the shaver around to different places, without shaving him, just letting the vibrations be felt. When he is over his fear, take the ear and hold it up with your hand supporting it and shave it. It may take a couple of days, but he should get used to the razor.
