This is also my first year and I was wondering the same thing. I read on the website that the dog must have proof of rabies vaccine. My furbaby has a rabies vaccine tag on his harness so I hope this is enough proof. Also, I read that they are going to have a beauty contest. I assume this is like a fashion show. Did all the dogs dress up?

Last year i just brought me, morgan, her carrier, and MONEY! The carrier came in handy because of all the free samples and stuff i bought!

I'm going to the event also. It's a 1 hour and 30 minutes (or more with traffic) from here according to google maps directions.

Should I buy a seat harness for Mckenna??? She has never been for a car ride longer than 30 minutes and she always sits in the back seat or the front passenger seat depending on how excited she is.

does she have a carrier with a strap inside? i use this for car rides with morgan. I put the carrier straps over the seat head so she can see out the window if she wants, but she usually just falls asleep.

that's a good idea. I bought a 'pet car seat' from pet goods, I will see which one works best.

I had another question, for those of you who have been to this event in the past, what kind of food is available for lunch? Is it possible to bring your own lunch or can you get your hand stamped, go out for lunch, and return?

I had the same question.

I also wanted to know what ID we need to bring. Someone told me I need to bring the proof of rabies and proof of other shots? I looked on the website, but I didn't see anything about what specific papers I need to bring. I just want to be sure since I'll have driven 2 hours and I don't want to be turned away!

ummm, i don't remember what food is there. I know they had the usually hot dog/hamburger deal and i think there was some other stuff too. I don't really know what else is in the area but i believe you are free to come and go as you please. I think you get a wrist band.

I emailed them today and I received a response back that proof of shots were not needed.

I had a great time! I am so glad that I attended. And the amount of samples were unbelievable. I didnt even get everything that I could have!! It was truly a funfilled day. My neice and nephew attended with me. We talked about how much fun it was the entire ride home!!
