|  My friend got her two dogs from a shelter in Jersey, I think she said it was near Point Pleasant. I don't know how far that is from you. Good luck in your search for your perfect little one! |

| yorkie in NJ we lived in NJ for a very long time...it is UNHEARD of for dogs to be kept for 2 weeks here in the southern shelters...many don't make it through the day because of overcrowding..(they are supposed to keep them 3 days before killing them) I do rescue and there are always yorkies in high kill shelters in here in NC... will be going on the Cape May ferry (from Lewes ) on christmas.... wish I could bring you one.... Also please, please don't buy from those pet shops (like in Freehold Mall) these are puppy mill pups...no matter what the salesgirl says....

| jersey shore animal shelter the shelter near point pleasant beach is called the jersey shore animal shelter in Brick town... used to live there. they used to be very nice...haven't lived there in many years....
