Hey everyone, I finally decided to go ahead and make an account on a yorkie forum. My little guy is named Chris and he is quite the social little puppy. He is 7 months old and around 5-6 lbs. When I first got him he was around 2lbs at 2 months old. I have heard some great remarks when running with him at the park "Mommy look at the big man with the little doggie!!!" I am 6'4 so that is pretty funny. Originally this pup was for my little sister but seeing as how responsibility tends to get pushed upward, I end up taking care of him.

We are from NY and I am trying to keep my little guy social. He has all his shots and what not and needs some friends. I am thinking about getting him a haircut soon because his fur is so many different colors. I am not really sure how much it will cost or where to go. The one bad thing is Chris hates hairdryers/vacuums/anything with a motor in it. So I am assuming that will make using an electric shaver or hairdryer on him next to impossible.

If anyone wants to be friends with my little guy let me know, also if you can suggest any groomers that would be great!

Welcome, your little guy is very cute. You will probably be surprised by how well he will do with a professional groomer. They know how to handle them just right. I don't know how much it costs in New York as I am in California, but I spend $35 to $40 to have someone come to my home and groom mine. Maybe someone from your area can give you a better idea of cost, also mine is very small only 2.5LBS and almost 1 yr old. Enjoy YT.

I just want to trim him up, Chris will always have the puppy cut. The only thing that is crazy is the amount of color change he went through since he was born. His hair on his head started black then changed to white and now it is brown! It used to look like he was an old bald man because of the black tips with white hair.

I'm not sure how tightly grouped the YT community is but I'd love to meet some local yorkies to socialize my little guy.

hahah, that's him in my bed one day, I couldn't find him anywhere in my room and then I looked at my blanket, he camouflaged himself in with my blanket and he was passed out!

Well I live in Westchester, but I would be willing to travel for the little guy without a doubt.

to YT! We are in NY too but upstate near Albany. We do have meet ups here once the weather gets a little nicer but we are probably too far for you to travel.....

Chris becomes a big boy next week! He will be a 1 year old on the 22nd! I got him a new bed, pet stairs, expanding pet gate, pad holder, and 2 squeeky toys for his bday! Do people give their dogs like a doggy cupcake or something lol.
