| You should post this in the health and diet section you will get more responses. A lot of times it is just a matter of trial and error, you need to find a food that he really likes. Sometimes it takes going through a couple of bags before you find something they like. FROMM surf and turf seems to be a food that many dogs find palatable. There are others as well. I have also heard good things about Acana and Orijen. You can add some things to his food to encourage him to eat but make sure they are healthy things... like plain yogurt, cottage cheese, green beans, etc.

| My dog hates dry food, what I do is for breakfast he eats his eukanuba dry puppy food mixed with a little bit of wet food from a can. For dinner he gets his eukanuba dry food mixed with a little water. He is such a picky eater that I have to switch up his wet food constantly, so he gets alternating chicken/lamb/beef flavors. The only downside to wet food is that his poop smells much worse. |

| so just feed the wet food alone; that should be ok and better than not eating or having digestive problems. the dry food is hard for them to digest; so he is avoiding it for a reason. it must bother his stomach. my dog is on wet food alone she has ibd so the vet put her on prescription diet iams low residue wet food; and she could be on it for a long time.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Pepsi doesn't like to crew, I personally think that's why he doesn't like the dry food, now the vet told me I can give him the wet food but I have to mix the dry food in,Pepsi doesn't like leftovers I know thats sounds funny, but if he had chicken n rice Monday he doesn't want that on Tuesday,I find myself giving away cans n dry foods so just feed the wet food alone; that should be ok and better than not eating or having digestive problems. the dry food is hard for them to digest; so he is avoiding it for a reason. it must bother his stomach. my dog is on wet food alone she has ibd so the vet put her on prescription diet iams low residue wet food; and she could be on it for a long time.[/QUOTE]
