A lot of times it is just a matter of trial and error, you need to find a food that he really likes. Sometimes it takes going through a couple of bags before you find something they like.
FROMM surf and turf seems to be a food that many dogs find palatable. There are others as well. I have also heard good things about Acana and Orijen.
You can add some things to his food to encourage him to eat but make sure they are healthy things... like plain yogurt, cottage cheese, green beans, etc.
