| I found my vet (in NJ) by doing a search on Google Maps. You can see which vets get alot of stars, and read the reviews. I prefer vets who specialize in small breeds, and have evening/weekend hours. In addition to what other post here, you might also get a good vet recommendation from your groomer, trainer, doggy boutique owner, etc. Did your breeder recommend a particulr vet? Or a local Yorkie rescue might suggest an awesome one too. Good luck!! |

| I take Duke to Dr. Simon. We've been there since I got Duke at 1.6lbs and Dr. Simon and his staff has been so helpful. I've had to take Duke to another vet bc we moved around for a few months but no one was as gentle and friendly as Dr. Simon and his staff. His info and the website is at the end of the msg. Even though we are in NJ now, I still take Duke there if he's sick and for his routine. Animal Hospital of Chelsea 164 West 21st St. New York, NY 10011 (212)243-3020 Animal Hospital and Veterinary Clinic Services ps. there's a coupon on the website for new patients

| We are also in Astoria and use Dr. Hatzi at All Pets on Ditmars Blvd. She is good but we have heard wonderful things about Dr. Jodie Smith at the Astoria Veterinary Group on Steinway Street. We are considering switching when it is time for Milo to get his next round of shots/boosters. Here is a link to their office: Home Good luck with your search! |

Have you heard anything about the Steinway Court Veterinarian? They have been open since the 80s and from their website they have really high end machines | |

| Unfortunately, I have not heard much about Steinway Court Veterinarian. Reviews online are mixed: Steinway Court Veterinarian - Long Island City - Long Island City, NY and Glasser, Robert, DVM - Steinway Court Veterinarian - Long Island City, NY Who are you using now? |

| Good luck at Astoria Veterinary Group . I would love to hear how it goes as we are most likely going to switch there. I may wait until Dr. Jodie is back from her maternity leave. We went there in March when Milo got sick with diarrhea on a Sunday and our regular vet was closed. Everyone was very nice and the doctor seemed knowledgeable and thorough. He was not an alarmist and seemed to know about the breed. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name. |

| I am so happy to hear that you had a good experience at Astoria Veterinary Group. We will be switching over there when Milo is due for his annual checkup and booster shots. Everyone we know who goes to Astoria Vet is very happy and it is nice that they are open 7 days a week and have early morning and evening hours. |
